How does this happen?

That I can be sooooooooooo freakin' boooooooooooored, but I have a ton of stuff to do?  Someone explain this to me, please?  I have slings to size, fabric to shop for, clothes to finish sewing up, I have Marissa's sweater and Phoebe's blankie to finish crocheting....  AND I'M BORED.

Anyway.  I think Marissa is having some sort of existential crisis that is manifesting itself in her hairdos.  She insisted last night that I cut her hair.  AGAIN.  But this time she wanted it really really really short, she said.  So I cut it really short in the back, but longer in the front, and OH MY GOD IT LOOKS SO DAMN CUTE.

Also, I traded a couple of Marissa's old clothes for some jeans for her in a size 8.  The jeans came, and wouldn't you know that they're too small and too short?  So I added side panels and pulled out the hems.  I also whipped up a quick little shirt to go with it.  Although her hair isn't done, here she is making her toast before heading off to school this morning, sporting the new 'do and wearing her new outfit.

Maybe one of these days I'll have something profound and funny and witty to say, but in the meantime, I'm just BORED.

The hair is darling.I am still trying to comprehend that someone can alter jeans and make then work AND "whip up" a top that actually looks like shirt and complete it before the seasons change.

Sewing impairedly yours,Susie

PS. I bought a pattern for a two hour skirt. The McCall's people shall burn eternally for their wicked lies.

Hey, I recognize some of that fabric! It looks AWESOME on your girly. And her hair is perfect. And I want to arm wrestle with Cara over who gets to be your kid. Seriously. SERIOUSLY. You rock.

Yes, girl, you are GOOD! Those jeans are too cute. And speaking of cute, Marissa's something else! She has great hair. I want that hair. I want HER. Can she be my niece?? (That would make you my sister and you'd have to sew for me, then!)

Marissa and I have the same haircut, minus the bangs. And since we're arm-wrestling, I guess I'll challenge Vanessa for who gets to be Marissa favorite auntie!

I call it "Option Paralysis." There are so many things you could be doing that you get overwhelmed with options and are left with the feeling that you can't do anything at all, or spend hours trying to figure out how you can get everything done in the amount of free time you have left. Sundays are the worst for this kind of thing. You know Monday is coming and these are your last 8 hours of possible productivity and that's when it happens.

Anyways, cute haircut and I love the shirt and jeans.

Wow, you did a fabulous job on her hair, it looks gorgeous - as does the outfit. I'm in awe of your skills.

My gramma used to make me clothes but they made me look like Little House on the Prarie. Why couldn't I have someone as hip as YOU for a mom?

I really dug the whole bangs thing before, but this revised haircut looks even better! It really works with the wavy-curly texture she's got. I'm flying out to Cali next time I need a trim!

Hair: Adorable. Clothes: Adorable. Yep. That's one adorable kiddo. And I'm feeling you on the BORED thing. 100 things to do and nothing I actually WANT to do. Hey it would be great if I wanted to do the dishes right? Cause there is alway plenty of them lying around.
