The biggest nerd I know

Namely, me.  I got the Oliver + S newsletter in my inbox, and while clicking around, I happened to notice that my bedtime story pjs were linked!  Right there, in the newsletter, for all the world to see!

I took a screenshot of the newsletter. So? That's what nerds do. Check it:

That's me. The link for "pajamas."  Right here, my peeps. That's right, I'm almost famous.  Have anything you want me to sign?  Also, the picture you see there of that adorable jacket? It was made by the Purl Bee, who is also a Squarespacer. Could not be ANY COOLER.

How I spent my Sunday afternoon

Alternately title, "Tissue paper, I hate you."

Traced the Fair Weather jacket pattern for Phoebe and Charlie.  I had to trace each piece (11 total) twice, in two different sizes.  And then cut them out.  My very least favorite part of sewing, especially because I have to do it all again, this time, on the actual fabric.  Feel sorry for me?

Clearly, I need a life

It's no secret by now that I my job requires me to be online for extended periods during the day.  All of my co-workers are in different locations, so we keep in touch by chatting all the time, using IM.  Works great.

So, I wake up this morning in dread and panic because of the dream I had been having, involving said chat program.  In my dream, the program had rolled out a new version, and the way the interface looks had changed, so everything was completely different.  You could import your contacts to invite them to chat, and they had this "quick chat" feature that removed all text styling (why?  I DON'T KNOW. )

Anyway, while I was sitting there trying to figure everything out, and not accidentally import contacts that I didn't need, one of my co-workers pinged me in chat.  I had changed the chat view, though, so I couldn't read their message or reply.

OH THE HORRORS.  In my dream I was FREAKING THE EFF OUT.

I woke up all upset from this, people.  I cannot believe that I had such a nerdy lame-ass dream or that it instilled so much panic in me.  Seriously.  I'm going to need to make some friends, or join the PTA, or something, just to stop the insanity.

Hollyhawk.etsy

I've been drooling over her stuff for days.  I decided sending Bryan a little e-mail with a link was a very subtle hint.  So, guess what showed up in the mail for me today?  I heart it, and the thoughtful husband.

He's the best.

Making dinner tonight, I cut not one, but two of my fingers.  Simultaneously. What is my damage, man?  Bryan was headed to the store so I had to run outside, flag him down, and make him fix me up before I puked.

What would I do without him?  Probably chop food with a spork, for starters.

In other "how-much-does-my-husband-love-me-and-put-up-with-my-craziness" news, I sent Bryan to the store the other day to get material for my Halloween costume. He knew which material to get based on this description: "You were with me when I pointed it out the other day, remember?"  I am nothing if not specific.

When he went, he couldn't find anyone at the counter to cut the fabric, so he measured and cut it himself.  And!  He measured exactly right, and cut the correct amounts.

Amazing, right?  I think I'm going to have that man's babies, y'all.
